Belvedere House, Gardens And Park
Belvedere House, Gardens and Park is a magical 160 acre estate on the shores of Lough Ennell. Belvedere House is a fully restored Georgian Villa built for Robert Rochfort in 1740.
The Victorian Walled Garden is a sensory experience and the centrepiece of the Garden is a messenger style glasshouse containing exotics and a fernery.
The Gardens also include a rockery and exotic trees in the pleasure grounds of the House. New additions are a heritage apple orchard and an Apiary (Bee hives).
In the Parkland there is the Belvedere Falconry Centre is a purpose built courtyard complex featuring 12 large aviaries and weatherings housing a collection of various Birds of Prey including Owls, Hawks, Buzzards and Eagles.
The Parkland also features several melancholic follies including the Jealous Wall built in 1760 as a ruined monastery to block Robert's
view of his brothers larger house at Tudenham.
