Carnglaze Caverns is a unique location combining rural splendour and our industrial heritage to great effect.
The three cathedral sized Caverns are impressive not just for size but also their splendour with the subterranean lake in the final cavern giving the ultimate "WOW" factor.
Mining finished over a hundred years ago and this was all done by hand as machinery and the industrial revolution bypassed this impressive corner of Cornwall!
The top cavern lovingly known as the Rum Store is now used as a music venue where Hazel O'Connor, Midge Ure, Mungo Jerry (The King Earl Boogie Band) and many more play regularly to happy audiences as the acoustics are sublime.
The Rum Store is so named as during WW2 all the Navy's rum was stored there! Set in 6.5 acres of steep sided wooded valley with a small river running through it, the woodland being carpeted with bluebells in the Spring is scattered with faeries & dragons making Carnglaze a fantastic setting for any production.
