Cardross House dates back to the 16th Century and stands in fine parkland on rising ground near the left bank of the River Forth. The estate is a mixed farming, forestry and sporting country estate dating back to the 16th Century which makes it perfect for Filming Period Drama and also as a Unit Base when Filming in this beautiful part of Scotland.
The Estate is situated on the fringe of the Scottish Highlands and the recently designated Loch Lomond National Park. Just to the north is the Lake of Menteith, the only LAKE as supposed to LOCH, in Scotland. Close by are the famous Trossachs, an area of outstanding natural beauty and closely associated with Rob Roy MacGregor and many exciting periods of Scottish History.
Cardross Holiday Homes are ideally situated for visiting Scotlandís major cities, the Highlands and both coasts. It is also just 15 ms. from Stirling and roughly 3/4 of an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. Film Units can be housed comfortably at Cardross in the self catering cottages they have available.
