Eilean Shona House

Eilean Shona is a privately owned island of some 2000 acres set at the entrance of Loch Moidart, just off the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It is two and a half miles long by one and a half wide & though only a short boat ride from the mainland this haven of peace and tranquility offers you a completely different world. There are no cars, no shops & no television.

Eilean Shona's landscape is varied, from the enchanted forest on the Eastern side to it's wild, rugged Western side. Its highest point is 265m above sea level where the spectacular views open out to the Hebridean islands, Ardnamurchan and Arisaig. The island hosts Shoe Bay; a pure white sand beach with azure sea tucked away on the South Western tip. Teaming with wildlife you may see an array of seabirds, deer, seals, otters, sea & golden eagles, red squirrels and pine marten.
