This historic 17th Century coaching inn set in idyllic surroundings with river frontage set in the picture perfect village of Wansford. It is built from local stone under a Collyweston slate roof and has formal gardens between The Haycock and the River Nene. It is claimed Mary Queen of Scots stayed at The Haycock on her way to imprisonment and later execution at nearby Fotheringhay Castle; also, that Queen Victoria stayed here.

Steeped in history and beautifully restored, The Haycock Hotel has created a successful blend between old and new, luxury and tradition. A member of staff is on call 24 hours to offer room service to the 48 individually styled bedrooms. These comprise singles, twins, doubles, garden rooms, kings and junior suites. All have en-suite bathrooms, TV with satellite, teletext and broadband internet connections.
