Kew Bridge Steam Museum (KBSM)

The Museum sits on approximately 4 acres at the corner of Kew Bridge Road and Green Dragon Lane in Brentford, Middlesex. It comprises one large structure of about 15K square feet in which all of the steam pumping engines are located, plus "Water for Life" exhibit gallery, visitor services, museum administration offices and modern engineering workshop. In addition, there is a terrace of former workshops including a blacksmith forge and turn of the century workshop. There is also a 197 foot high stand pipe tower with a viewing platform that is accessible by internal stairs. Finally, there is a two foot gauge steam locomotive with tracks and engine shed plus a small garden area. The rear of the main museum building reveals the industrial nature of the site whilst there is parking for approximately 40 vehicles to the front of the same building.
