Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park
The main features of the house are: The Great Hall - This stunning marble floored central room has an imposing staircase - a magnificent entrance for a bride. The seating in the Hall is theatre style and will seat up to 80 people and the Gallery is available for and can accommodate a further 40 people standing. The Drawing Room - A very light and gracious room with magnificent aspects on three sides. The Drawing Room has splendid views into the Earl's Garden and beyond to Plymouth Sound. The seating is theatre style and can seat up to 80 people. The Library - A delightful room for a smaller group, the Library has a dual aspect with views on the Earl's Garden as well as Plymouth Sound. We recommend a maximum of guests 25 for this venue. The grounds - have formal gardens in the English, French and Italian styles. They have recently been added to with an American plantation and a New Zealand styled garden. The surrounding country park has within it 55 listed buildings and heritage sites from: Barrows to 15th century chapel, icehouse to working smithy, forts and ferry crossings.
