Mount Juliet, located beside the city of Kilkenny, the medieval capital of Ireland is one of the oldest surviving walled estates in the world.
At the centre of this 1500 acre walled estate is Mount Juliet House, a beautifully preserved 18th century Georgian Manor House, set on a hill and overlooking the meandering waters of the River Nore.
The estate honours all of the traditions of the country gentry and boasts fishing for wild Atlantic Salmon and trout, clay shooting and archery, horse riding and one of the finest stud farms in Ireland - Ballylinch Stud.
The estate is also home to a magnificent Nicklaus designed golf course which played host to Irish Open in 1993, 1994 and 1995 and to The World Golf Championships in 2002 and 2004.
This outstandingly beautiful estate is steeped in history and tradition and is truly 'where peace comes dropping slow'. The hotel at Mount Juliet boasts 58 guest rooms.
