Bantham EstateNestling deep in the South Hams at the mouth of the river Avon the Bantham Beach is one of Devon's premier beaches and is listed by Lonely Planet as one of Europe's Best Beaches.
Bantham's history dates back to Neolithic times. There is evidence of a Bronze Age settlement and a Roman trading port at Bantham Ham.
The river is the site of an oyster farm and there are excellent mooring facilities which means there is the infrastructure for filming at sea as well as on The Estate itself. The beach and surrounding areas of Bantham provide an impressive setting for a wide variety of film work, from television series, one-off documentaries, music videos to photo shoots Bantham has welcomed a variety of different productions. Most notably BBC2 murder mystery drama series "The Coroner" which did many shoots over two seasons at the estate. The list of possible locations is endless, with many areas containing interesting and unique features - woodland and ancient tracks, isolated farm buildings, a private villa on the water and a stunning beach to go with it.
