Bradgate Park

Bradgate Park also includes the highly filmable ruins of Bradgate House which was once the home of The Lady Jane Grey who was Queen of England for just 9 days.

Swithiland wood is an attractive and atmospheric area of Ancient Woodland, covering 146 acres and a remnant of the original Charnwood Forest Oak Woods. Designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Swithland Wood is an important habitat for a wide range of plant and animal species.

Bradgate Park is steeped in history – from its Norman beginnings as a hunting park to the building of Bradgate House, home of Lady Jane Grey in the early 1500s.
