Caer Llan was built around the turn of the 18/19th century The nearest town (10 minutes by car) is historic Monmouth at the head of the Wye Valley. The main house is the result of constant expansion and improvement over the generations culminating in the structural additions made by Captain Henry Walters RN between 1890 and 1937. The Berm House, with its traditional castle-like appearance, was added in 1988.
